Our Italian courses are designed for children in kindergarten, elementary and early middle school, both native speakers and beginners.
Through games, stories and creative activities, children develop the vocabulary, listening, speaking, reading and writing skills in Italian, building confidence and curiosity for the language and its culture.
At Graines de Culture, we guide children through the discovery of Italian with playful and engaging activities. Our courses are organized by age and level so that every child can learn at their own pace, feel comfortable and have fun. We work in small groups, with qualified teachers.

A gentle introduction to the Italian language through language games, videos and comics, role-playing, use of images and multimedia resources for first-time learners.
Creative workshops using storytelling, focusing on natural immersion through songs, puppet theater and games to develop natural speech patterns and cultural awareness for young explorers.

Target Learners
Children aged 4 to 9 who are non-native Italian speakers, absolute beginners or with initial language skills.
General Objectives
The course aims to develop the basic language skills necessary for everyday communication and school integration, promoting inclusion through communicative, playful and workshop-based activities.

The programme follows the teaching progression of the textbook DIMMI! 1,2 – Italian Course for Children, Loescher Publisher, and refers to the A1-A2 descriptors of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), while promoting intercultural education and knowledge of Italian culture.

We believe it is important to know the overall level of the class before defining play-based activities more precisely. It is also essential to adapt activities when there are children whose parents are not Italian, who do not regularly speak Italian, or whose first language does not share the same alphabet.

• During the first lesson, basic classroom behaviour rules are established and explained clearly. With younger children, a poster is used and correct and incorrect behaviours can be acted out.
• Lessons with specific themes and activities related to celebrations such as Father's Day, Mother's Day, Easter, Christmas, Epiphany, Europe Day, Republic Day, etc.

The course is aimed at Italian-speaking pupils aged 6 to 14, with language competence levels ranging from basic to more advanced.

The course aims to develop and strengthen Italian language skills and to promote an active connection with Italian culture, taking into account the different levels of competence.
The overall goal is to create an effective and stimulating learning pathway in which students are encouraged to participate actively through the use of diversified educational resources such as textbooks, online resources, multimedia presentations, games and workshop activities.
